Common questions

Do I need to be home?

No. Most of our regulars leave a key, a lockbox code, or a garage code on file. Everything is stored encrypted and never shared with anyone else. If you would rather be there for the first visit, that is completely normal too.

What if I am not happy with something?

Tell us within 24 hours and we come back and reclean the room free. No debate, no partial credit, no arguing about what was on the checklist. It is the only guarantee worth having.

Do you bring your own supplies?

Yes — vacuums, cloths, mops, and all products come with your cleaner. Everything is eco-certified and pet-safe by default, and we will go fully fragrance-free on request. If you would rather we used your own products, leave them out and say so when we talk.

How do I pay, and when?

By online invoice. It is emailed when the visit is finished and settled by card or bank transfer through the link in it — no cash, no checks, and nothing taken before the work is done. No deposit to book, and no cancellation fee as long as we hear from you 24 hours ahead. Regular customers are billed per visit, never up front.

Which areas do you cover?

All five Grosse Pointes — Park, City, Farms, Woods and Shores — plus St. Clair Shores. Not sure if you are in range? Pick your town in the quote quiz and you will know straight away rather than wasting your time.

What does it cost?

The price comes from the size and condition of the home, not an hourly meter: bedrooms, bathrooms, the service you want, and anything that needs special care. Answer four questions on the quote page or call, and a fixed price comes back in writing within one business hour. No deposit is taken to book. If the home turns out to be substantially different on the day — far larger, post-renovation dust, heavy pet hair — you are told the revised price before anything starts, and you are free to say no and pay nothing.

What is the difference between a standard and a deep clean?

A standard clean is the regular reset, typically two to three hours, and it keeps a home that is already at a baseline sitting there. A deep clean is typically four to six hours and gets it to that baseline in the first place — inside the oven and fridge, cabinet fronts, grout and tile, baseboards, vents and window sills. Most homes start with one deep clean and hold it with standard visits after that. A move in / move out clean is different again: empty-home detail, five to seven hours, inside every cupboard, drawer and closet.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes. Cancel or move a visit with at least 24 hours notice and there is no charge at all. Inside 24 hours, or if we cannot get in when we arrive, a call-out fee of half the visit price applies, because the slot cannot be refilled that late. On a recurring plan you can pause with 48 hours notice.

Is there a contract?

No contract, no minimum term and no signup fee. Recurring plans take $75 off weekly, $50 off every two weeks and $25 off monthly, and you can pause or stop whenever you like with no fee and no exit call.

What is not included?

For safety and insurance reasons: exterior windows above the ground floor, roofs or gutters, mould remediation, biohazard or pest cleanup, moving furniture heavier than one person can safely shift, and cleaning inside occupied pet enclosures. Everything else on the room-by-room checklist is in.

Are you insured?

Yes — $2M liability cover, and every cleaner is background-checked before they work in a home. If something is damaged you are told the same day rather than left to discover it, and it is repaired or replaced. Point out anything already broken, unstable or of unusual value beforehand.

How soon can you come?

Usually the same week. There are typically two or three openings left most weeks, and hours are Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm. Once you are on a recurring plan your regular slot is held for you.

Still Deciding

Ask the awkward question.

The ones people hesitate over are usually the sensible ones: what happens if something breaks, whether you have to tidy first, whether the dog is a problem. Short answers: you are told the same day and it is covered by the insurance, no, and no.

If your question is not on this page, calling is faster than typing. You will get a straight answer rather than a booking script.

  • Insured to $2M — and you hear about a breakage from us first.
  • No pre-tidying required. Clutter costs a few minutes, not the booking.
  • Pets are fine. Tell us the name and where they hide.
  • No contracts on any service, plan or one-off.
